【摘要】:Thepredictableandreliableperformanceofdetentionglazingusedindetentionandcorrectionalfacilitiesisamajorconcern.Thesetestmethodsaidinassigningalevelofphysicalsecuritytoglazingusedinwindowanddoorassembliesbaseduponobjectivetestswhichcanbeconsistentlyduplicated.Thesetestmethodsidentifyfoursecuritygrades,correspondingtothefoursecuritygradesestablishedinTestMethodsF1450.Theintentistoestablishacomparablelevelofperformanceforopeningassemblieswhichincorporatedetentionglazinginconjunctionwithwindowanddoorassemblies.Testmethodsfordetentionglazingdifferinsequencingavarietyofattacktoolsandtemperatures.Thesetestmethodsevaluatetheresistanceofdetentionglazingtoattacksusingbluntandsharpimpactdevicesandfire.Thesetestmethodsevaluatetheperformanceofglazinginhotandcoldenvironments.Thesetestmethodsdonotprovideameasureoftheresistanceorperformanceofglazingsubjectedtoattackbyballistics,chemicalagents,explosivesorotherextrememethodsofattack.Wheresuchelementsareafactor,consultthemanufacturer.Theprimarypurposeofthesetestmethodsistoapproximatethelevelsofabuseandoperatingconditionstowhichdetentionglazingissubjectedindetentionandcorrectionalinstitutions.Thedesiredresultofthesetestmethodsistoprovideameasureofassuranceofprotectiontothecorrectionalpersonnel,public,andinmates.Detentionandcorrectionalfacilityadministrativestaffareencouragedtoprovideadequatetraining,supervision,andpreventativemaintenanceprogramstoenabledetentionglazingassembliestofunctionasintended.1.1Thesetestmethods,includingafiretestresponsemethod,covertheapparatus,procedures,andacceptanceconditionsforevaluatingthenormaloperationalperformanceandtheperformancecharacteristicsunderassaultconditionsofdetentionglazingusedinwindowanddoorassembliesindetentionandcorrectionalfacilities;thus,thesetestmethodsonlygiveanindicationoftheperformancecharacteristicsofdetentionglazinginactualservice.Suchvariablesasinstallationandmaintenanceconditionsarenotconsideredexceptasotherwiseincludedinthistestmethod.1.2Itistheintentofthesetestmethodstohelpensurethatdetentionglazingperformsatoraboveminimumacceptablelevelstorestrictinmatepassagetounauthorizedareas,toconfineinmates,todelayandfrustrateescapeattemptsandtoresistvandalism.1.3Toolsdefinedinthesetestmethodsarerepresentativeofsimilartoolsormaterials,whichmaybecomeavailabletoinmateswithinthesecureperimeterofdetentionandcorrectionalfacilities,andwhichcouldbeusedtoinflictsimilarproductdamage.1.4Thesetestmethodsshouldnotbeusedtoestablishorconfirmtheabsolutepreventionofforcedentriesorexits.Thesetestmethodsdefinefivefactors(tool,temperature,techniques,time,andnumberofimpacts)usedtodetermineresistancetodefinedattacks.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesinstatedparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Inthesetestmethods,thespecimensaresubjectedtooneormorespecificsetsoflaboratorytestconditions.Ifdifferenttestconditionsaresubstitutedortheend-useconditionsarechanged,itisnotalwayspossiblebyorfromthesetestmethodstopredictchangesinthephysicalattack,orfire-test-responsecharacteristicsmeasured,orboth;therefore,theresultsarevalidonlyforthephysicalattack,orfire-test-exposureconditions,orboth,describedinthesetestmethods.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityo......
