【摘要】:ThistestmethodmeasurestheacidnumberofoilsobtainedfromlaboratoryoxidationtestsusingsmalleramountsofsamplethanTestMethodsD974orD664.IthasspecificapplicationinTestMethodD943inwhichsmallaliquotsofoilareperiodicallyremovedfortestingbyTestMethodD3339.Thistestmethod,therefore,providesameansofmonitoringtherelativeoxidationofoils,bymeasuringchangesinacidnumber,atdifferenttimeintervalsandunderthevariousoxidizingtestconditions.FIG.1SchematicDrawingofTypicalApparatus1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofacidicconstituentsinneworusedpetroleumproductsandlubricantssolubleornearlysolubleinmixturesoftoluene,andisopropylalcohol.ThetestmethodisespeciallyintendedforcasesinwhichtheamountofsampleavailabletobeanalyzedistoosmalltoallowaccurateanalysisbyTestMethodsD974orD664.Itisapplicableforthedeterminationofacidshavingdissociationconstantsinwaterlargerthan10x2212;9.Extremelyweakacidshavingdissociationconstantssmallerthan10x2212;9donotinterfere.Saltstitrateiftheirhydrolysisconstantsarelargerthan10x2212;9.1.2Thistestmethodcanbeusedtoindicaterelativechangesinacidnumberthatoccurinanoilduringuseunderoxidizingconditions.Althoughthetitrationismadeunderdefiniteequilibriumconditions,themethoddoesnotmeasureanabsoluteacidicpropertythatcanbeusedtopredictperformanceofanoilunderserviceconditions.Nogeneralrelationshipbetweenbearingcorrosionandacidnumberisknown.1.3SincethistestmethodrequiressubstantiallylesssamplethanTestMethodsD974orD664,itprovidesanadvantageousmeansofmonitoringanoxidationtestbychangesinacidnumberby(1)minimizingtestsampledepletionforacidnumberanalysesandthusminimizingthedisturbanceofthetestor(2)allowingadditionalacidnumberanalysestobemadewhilemaintainingthesametestsampledepletionandthusprovidingadditionaldata.Note18212;Someoils,suchasmanycuttingoils,rust-proofingoils,andsimilarcompoundedoils,orexcessivelydark-coloredoils,maybemoredifficulttoanalyzebythistestmethodduetoobscurityofthecolor-indicatorendpoint.TheseoilscanbeanalyzedbyTestMethodD664providedsufficientsampleisavailable.However,thissituationismuchlesslikelyusingTestMethodD3339thanusingTestMethodD974duetotheuseofamorehighlydilutesampleduringthetitrationandduetothegreaterstabilityoftheendpointcolorchange.TheacidnumbersobtainedbyTestMethodD3339mayormaynotbenumericallythesameasthoseobtainedbyTestMethodD664buttheyshouldbeofthesameorderofmagnitude.Note28212;TheresultsobtainedusingthismethodhavebeenfoundtobenumericallythesameasthoseobtainedusingTestMethodD974,withintheprecisionofthetwomethods,forneworoxidizedlubricantsofthetypeprimarilyintendedforhydraulicorsteamturbinetypeservice.TheoxidizedlubricantswereobtainedusingtheTestMethodD943oxidationtest.Thiscorrelationisshownbythecorrelationcoefficientr【英文标准名称】:Dentalbasemetalcastingalloys-Part2:Nickel-basedalloys;Amendment1
